MARCIE DOUGLAS ROBERTSON Ballet, Jazz and Pilates Instructor A native of Mississippi, Marcie began her training with Debra Franco in Vicksburg, MS, and Ballet Mississippi, before receiving a 4-year ballet scholarship to the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she completed a B.A. in Dance and a M.A. in Exercise Physiology/Cardiac Rehabilitation. In conjunction with UAB, Marcie continued her studies at the University of Strasbourg in Strasbourg, France, completing her minor in French. While dancing various principal roles with both UAB Ballet Company and Ballet Against Drugs, Marcie taught at Birmingham Ballet Academy and Birmingham Dance Theatre. She became a faculty member at UAB and Director of the UAB Youth Ballet. Marcie has been on faculty at Ballet Magnificat! School of the Arts since 1996 and is certified in Pilates.
