CASSANDRA VOBORSKY Trainee Faculty - Ballet Technique, Pointe, Rehearsals Cassandra received training from Pamela Lauer, the Peabody Conservatory, the Harford Ballet, the Washington School of Ballet, the Royal Danish Ballet in Copenhagen, Denmark, the Washington Ballet, and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. Her performing experience includes The Nutcracker, Coppelia, contemporary modern and jazz works with Harford Dance Theater, and classical repertoire such as Swan Lake with The Washington Ballet’s Young Dancers. Her final year of high school was spent with her family in Oldenburg, West Germany, where she had the opportunity to work with a professional company at the Oldenburgishes Staatstheater. In January 1992, Cassandra joined Ballet Magnificat! where she worked in the business office and was a part of the Junior Company. She joined the touring company in 1993 and toured for over twelve years. Together with her husband, Cassandra served as one of the technical directors on the road. Cassandra and Jiri are blessed with two children, Benjamin Isaiah, born May 14, 2002, and Maya Terezka, born June 21, 2005. Cassandra retired from dancing in December 2004 during the annual gala performances of Ballet Magnificat! in Thalia Mara Hall in Jackson, Mississippi and currently works as the co-director of the Trainee program.
