Alpha Company Student Apprentice
Claire is originally from Oklahoma City and began dancing at the age of 7 under the instruction of Daphne Tardibono at Dove Dance. Her formal ballet training began in 2010 at Classical Ballet School, with Kate Luber and Amanda Herd-Popejoy, Oklahoma City Ballet Conservatory under the instruction of Alexa Fioroni, and 8 years of Vaganova training with Rebecca Zeese. During her senior year of high school, she had the privilege of attending the University of Oklahoma, studying ballet technique and pointe under Mary Margaret Holt, Clara Cravey Stanley and Rebecca Herrin. Her performance experience includes roles such as "Lilac Fairy" in The Sleeping Beauty, "Gerda" from The Snow Queen, and variations from Coppelia and Swan Lake. Claire was also accepted into various summer intensives such as American Ballet Theater’s New York program and the Kirov Academy of Ballet. From 2009-2014 she attended Ballet Magnificat!’s Summer Dance Intensive and was selected to be in their Pre-professional Level during the summer of 2014. Claire felt the Lord calling her to join Ballet Magnificat!’s Trainee Program after high school and moved to Mississippi in 2015. During her second year as a trainee, Claire was given the honor of being awarded the Rose Faucher scholarship. She also had the opportunity to tour Asia with the Events Company in the spring of 2017, performing in Guam, South Korea and China. In August of 2017, Claire was thrilled to be promoted as a Student Apprentice with the Alpha Company.
