Alpha Company Artist
Elisa Olson grew up in Yankton, South Dakota where she began her dance training at age 6 at the Academy of Dance. She studied under the direction of Dorota Dannenbring and Kathryn Rose Reimler. Elisa danced many roles in the biennial community production of The Nutcracker Ballet, including the lead roles of “Clara” and “Snow Crystal.” The first time Elisa saw Ballet Magnificat! perform was in the fall of 2009 when the Alpha company toured to her hometown. She was inspired by their love for the Lord and excellence in what they did. The following year she attended their 2010 summer dance intensive. That fall, she began as a trainee at Light of the World Ballet in Syracuse, New York under the direction of Ashley Rollinson. While at Light of the World, Elisa was given the opportunity to travel and perform with the company in Peru. In the fall of 2011, Elisa was accepted into the trainee program at Ballet Magnificat! Elisa danced with the Events Company, touring and performing with the Women of Faith conferences for their fall 2012 season, and also traveled and performed in Honduras the following spring. In the fall of 2013 she was promoted to the Alpha Company as an apprentice, and in 2015, Company Artist.
