Omega Company Senior Apprentice
Kinsey Jarm, from Louisville, Kentucky, began dancing at the age of three. From the ages of five to seven, she danced with Southern Indiana School for the Arts, formerly known as Encore Performing Arts, under the direction of Debra Rice Endris. It was here that her love for dancing began and she heard about Ballet Magnificat for the first time. At the age of thirteen, Kinsey began to study ballet more seriously at Louisville Academy of Dance. She received instruction from Kristen Wenrick, a former Principal dancer with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and Louisville Ballet. While at LAD, she also studied under Rory Foster, a former professional dancer and Professor of Dance, Alexis Chick, and Fabiana Poulis. For six years she was a member of River City Ballet, performing lead roles in The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Coppelia, Sleeping Beauty, and more. In 2009 and 2010, she attended Ballet Magnificat’s Summer Dance Intensive. She was accepted to The Rock School Summer Intensive in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2011 and received instruction under Bo and Stephanie Spassoff, Daniel Ulbricht of New York City Ballet, and other reputable professional dancers and teachers. In 2012 and 2013, Kinsey returned to Ballet Magnificat’s Summer Intensive and was placed in the Pre-Professional level. She moved to Jackson, Mississippi to join the Trainee Program in the fall of 2014. As a part of the Trainee II level for two years, she had the opportunity to tour with the Events Company to Mexico and Honduras. Kinsey was promoted to Student Apprentice with the Omega Company in August of 2016, and to Senior Apprentice in August of 2017.
