Rebecca Colenda, originally from North Carolina, began her ballet training under Kim Saad at the Greenville Civic Ballet. She was accepted into a local pre-professional ballet company at age ten, and rose from a trainee to senior company member in her tenure. Rebecca performed leading roles in The Nutcracker, Peter and the Wolf, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. As a member of Regional Dance America-SERBA, Rebecca traveled to perform and take classes from many renowned teachers. She also attended annual festivals at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. She furthered her ballet, modern, and jazz training by spending summers away at The Rock School, American Ballet Theatre, and Atlanta Ballet. She became an intern at the Greenville Civic Ballet her junior year of high school, and began teaching her senior year. Rebecca followed her calling to Ballet Magnificat! in the fall of 2010. In 2012, she was selected to become a part of Ballet Magnificat!'s Events company where she toured with Women of Faith Conferences and to Honduras. She was promoted to Student Apprentice with Ballet Magnificat! Omega in August 2013 and to Company Artist in 2015.
