Suzanne Sanders joined Ballet Magnificat!’s School of the Arts teaching staff in the fall of 2012. A native of Hattiesburg, MS, Suzanne received her early training from Sylvia Henington. During summers, she attended the Ballet Magnificat! Summer Dance Intensives. During her high school years, she studied at Ballet Magnificat! School of the Arts in Jackson, where she received training in the Vaganova and Checcheti methods. Suzanne also received training from the 1994 IBC School, Dimitri Roudnev’s Ballet Intensive from Moscow, and Pittsburgh Youth Ballet. In 1997, she was admitted to the BA dance program at Belhaven University on scholarship, under the direction of Marc Arentson and Lauri Worrill-Biggs, and received her B.A. in Dance in 2001.

Suzanne began teaching in 1994 for Sylvia’s Dance Center and later became co-director and an instructor for Center Pointe Dance Academy in the Jackson area from 2006-2012. Other teaching credits include The Dance Program at First Presbyterian Church in Kosciusko, MS, Ballet Mississippi, Veritas School, Jackson Public Schools’ APAC Program, and substitute teaching for Stacy Andrews’ Academy of Ballet.
