Set to Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker, Artistic Director and Choreographer, Kathy Thibodeaux, takes on a new direction and blends the excitement of a full-length ballet with the heart of the Christmas story. A Christmas Dream, set in the mid-19th century, tells the story of a young girl, Katherine, who receives a special gift from her missionary grandfather. The impact of his bequest unfolds in a dream portrayed through this wondrous production. An international cast of over 150 dancers comprised of the two Ballet Magnificat! professional companies, trainees, and students from the School of the Arts, enhanced by over 300 costumes, spectacular scenery and sets, and excellent cinematography, celebrates the greatness and goodness of our Lord Jesus Christ.
