EXPERIENCE A WEEKEND OF INTENSE TRAINING WITH
October 12-13, 2019
For students ages 13 to 30 who desire to improve their expertise with the highest quality training in ballet and modern techniques, pointe, and variations. The Masters’ Convention is designed to elevate and strengthen the stage presence and professional aplomb of the participants.
The Collaborative Showcase is a unique platform created for the participants of the Masters’ Convention. The participants can encourage one another by showcasing their own choreography or a work from their own studio. As desired, the participants will receive some constructive notes from the Masters.

Application and Requirements
2.) PROVIDE CREDIT CARD INFO
In order to complete the application process, you must pay the non-refundable application fee of $30 at the end of your online application process. (A PayPal account is not required for this transaction.)
Ballet Magnificat! will send you a confirmation email within two weeks of receiving your application.
All students must be at least 13 years old with at least 3 years of consecutive ballet training AND ladies must also have at least 2 years of experience on pointe.
ALL students under 18 MUST have a responsible adult with them, such as a parent, a teacher, a parent of a friend, or another adult.
Non-refundable Application Fee: $30
If paying by cash, check, money order, or cashier's check, you will recieve a 5% discount.
LOYAL STUDENT DISCOUNT:
Current School of the Arts students, current Belhaven students, 2019 SDI alumni, and 2019 JDI alumni will recieve a 50% discount off of tuition. Students who qualify for this discount must contact our office at 601.977.1001 or email@example.com to receive their discount.

Upon acceptance, a link to additional information will be provided.
- ALL fees due by September 16, or upon registration.
- There will be a charge of $30 for all returned checks.
- ALL fees must be paid in U.S. dollars.

meals and lodging
Ballet Magnificat! will not provide meals, execpt for the Dinner with the Masters, or lodging for the Masters' Convention.
However, we have reserved a limited number of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn (320 New Mannsdale Rd, Madison, MS 39110), which is within walking distance of a grocery store and serveral restaurants. To book a room and take advantage of the group rating, please visit the hotel's website and use the code BAL or call 1-877-782-9444.
Ballet Magnificat! will not provide chaperones at the Hilton Garden Inn.
As a courtesy, Ballet Magnificat! will provide a daily shuttle between the Hilton Garden Inn and the studios. Please see our daily shuttle section below.
Ballet Magnificat! will provide a daily shuttle between the Hilton Garden Inn and the Ballet Magnificat! studios. The shuttle will leave the Hilton Garden Inn at 8:45 AM and will return once classes are finished.

- The Collaborative Showcase is optional but encouraged.
- The Collaborative Showcase will be on Saturday from 3:30-5:30.
- Students must apply here to participate.
- Pieces may be no longer than 4 minutes, and can be performed in costume or class attire.
- If several students are coming from the same studio, we do encourage them to perform a group piece.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is an audition required?
No audition is required, but we do require that you have at least 3 years of ballet training and that ladies also have at least 2 years of pointe.
2. What is the cost of attending the Masters' Convention?

3. Will Ballet Magnificat! provide transportation?
Yes, we will provide transportation between the Jackson International Airport and the Hilton Garden Inn. Please see our Shuttle page for more info. We will also provide a daily shuttle between the Hilton Garden Inn and the studios. The shuttle will leave the hotel at 8:45 am and return to the hotel at the end of the day.
4. Does Ballet Magnificat! offer scholarships?
We do not offer scholarships for the Masters' Convention.
5. Is there a dress code for the Masters' Convention?
Yes, there is a dress code. Ladies should wear any color leotard, black or pink tights, a sports bra or tights top (What is a tights top?), and a black georgette skirt. Men should wear any color solid tight-fitting tshirt, black tights, and black shorts.
6. What will the daily schedule look like?

7. Do you provide housing?
We do not provide housing for our Masters' Convention. However, you may get a group rate discount at the Hilton Garden Inn Jackson/Madison. Please see the Meals and Lodging section above.
8. How many pairs of pointe shoes should a dancer bring to the Masters' Convention? The number of pointe shoes needed for the Masters' Convention depends on several factors: the strength of the dancer’s feet, the brand of shoe, and humidity.
9. Is there a student performance at the end of the Masters' convention?
There is not.
10. Will I need to pack my lunch?
Yes, students and families are responsible for all meals except the Dinner with the Masters.

12. What is the Dinner with the Masters?
Ballet Magnificat! is excited to provide a special dinner with the master instructors! The dinner will be held at a local restaurant, and the cost is included in the fee for the convention.
