Frequently Asked Questions

Do you hold a recital at the end of the year?

Yes, each class has the opportunity to present a dance they’ve worked on during their class time.  It’s a memorable experience, where all the levels in the School present their piece as an offering to the Lord and the parents are able to see their child’s progress.

Do I have to pay for a costume?  Will my child get to keep their costume?

Each student who participates in the recital will receive a costume they get to take home when the year is finished.  The fee for costumes varies each year, but typically the Lower School Costume Fee is $60; Upper School $80.

What are MiniMag! and Magnificat! Youth Ballet?

MiniMag! (comprised of invited students from Ballet II-III) and MYB (students from Ballet IV and V) are groups that perform in the Jackson area throughout the school year, desiring to share the love of Jesus Christ through the medium of dance.

Can I watch my child take class?

Most of the studios at Ballet Magnificat! have windows through which you can watch the students take ballet class.

We also set aside one week out of each year for parents to come into the studios and see the students in class, firsthand.

What if my child has to miss a class?

Please call the School Office when you know the student will not be able to attend a class.  We will then let the teacher know.  If your child is in Upper School, please plan to make-up a class within 30 days of the missed class.  You may set up a time with the School Administrator.
