Ballet Magnificat! is a professional dance company with two full-time touring troupes, the Alpha Company and the Omega Company.
In 1986, Kathy Thibodeaux, silver medalist at the II USA International Ballet Competition, founded Ballet Magnificat! to pursue excellence in the arts and reclaim them for the church. Ballet Magnificat! has since grown to two professional companies renowned for high artistic and spiritual integrity. Headquartered in Jackson, Mississippi, the Alpha and Omega companies tour annually throughout the world. They have been featured several times on TBN and the internationally broadcasted 700 Club, and have performed with various nationally known artists at the Christian Music Artists' Seminar in Estes Park, Colorado, the Gaither Praise Gathering in Indianapolis, Indiana, and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
The Artists of Ballet Magnificat! have included former members of Les Ballet Jazz de Montreal, Spokane Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, the State Theatre of the Czech Republic, Oldenburgishes Staatstheater of Germany, San Francisco Ballet, Ballet Mississippi, Eternia Dance Theater of Sweden, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and the Houston Ballet Academy. These dancers, who share in Kathy's vision, come from around the world to spread the life changing message of Jesus Christ.Because art often draws those who might not otherwise come to a church setting, the Alpha and Omega companies are a unique evangelistic tool. Under the direction of Kathy Thibodeaux and Omega Artistic Director, Jiri Sebastian Voborsky, the companies bring spiritual concepts to life through the powerful medium of dance.
Ballet Magnificat! Touring Companies are currently available for booking by churches, colleges, arts and civic organizations, ministries, and theaters, throughout the nation and around the world.
